What are the Pros of the Mountain Buggy Nano?:

  • Its compact design makes it easy to take along. Especially when there’s limited trunk space.
  • It is designed to fit into an overhead compartment. Although since most airlines will check your stroller right before entering the plane and have it waiting for you when disembarking. So it doesn’t make sense to bring it on board.
  • It works easily with any infant car seat. Simply just recline the seat, put in the infant seat in and strap using buckles, that’s it. No adapters needed.
  • It’s 44 lbs weight capacity means it is suitable for children up to 4 years.

What are the Cons of the Mountain Buggy Nano?

  • The locking system requires 2 hands it difficult to close the handlebars.
  • The locking system is not intuitive and is hard to explain to someone without demonstrating.
  • The strap that holds the handlebar in place is hard to find as it isn’t fixed in place.
  • Sometimes the Velcro on the strap comes undone and the bars swing open and lock. Then we’d have to press the two buttons to close it again.
  • The length adjustment of the shoulder straps and seatbelt is quite difficult. The strap loops in on itself and the locking mechanism doesn’t work well.

  • The strap cushions are not attached and come off and get lost easily
  • There are limitations to its compact design. With limited handlebar space, there is no room to add any additional accessories, like cup holders or storage add ons.
  • The smaller wheels are more sensitive to extra weight and bumps.

Overall impression:

The Mountain Buggy Nano is definitely a great travel stroller. Its tiny design makes it so easy to bring anywhere. There are a few quirks, but overall the it is quite sturdy and has functioned well as our general stroller.

We’ve used it heavily for 2 years and so far the tires only show just a bit of wear. That being said, as Celine has gotten bigger, we do notice the weight much more. We will have to update this post as she reaches the 44lbs weight limit, for our final impressions.
